Homeless Shelter

Description

Offers a short-term residential program (3–5 months) providing shelter, meals, and supportive services to families. Provides case management to each family to create housing and financial plans and focuses on the needs of the children. Additional services offered include career development, mental health counseling, and specialized workshops (computer literacy, parenting support, housing search and financial literacy). The shelter is not a 'safe house' and does not provide drug or alcohol treatment.

Hours

Messages: 24 hours daily.

Eligibility

Single parent or two-parent family with at least one child under the age of 18 for, pregnant women in third trimester. No active drug or alcohol problem. Must be willing to participate in a moderately structured program which is developed on an individual/family basis with case manager.

Fees

Sliding scale available for program fees. No one denied service because of inability to pay.

Intake Procedure

Call intake line for phone screening to determine basic eligibility. In person interview with residential case manager will be scheduled.
