Description
Processes rent relief applications for Richmond residents who are at risk of eviction or have encountered an unexpected hardship and have fallen behind on their rent. A household can receive up to $3,000 in a check to be paid directly to the landlord. Works in collaboration with SparkPoint Contra Costa to process the applications. Clients must submit applications to both entities however, only one agency will process the request.

Rent relief application available online, W-9 completed by landlord, copy of lease agreement, proof of income within last 30 days, verification of past due rent, and reason for hardship.
Eligibility
Richmond tenants at risk of eviction or with past due rent. Must be able to sustain rent after program disbursement and meet income eligibility requirements.
