Description
Program dedicated to supporting African American students and families through educational advocacy, parental support, and community engagement. Services include college and career readiness support such as college admissions assistance, financial aid guidance, career exploration, internship opportunities, mentorship, and HBCU partnerships. The organization also provides parent workshops focused on educational access, equity, student rights, and special education advocacy, as well as mediation support between families and schools. In addition, PAAACT offers professional development and diversity training for educators, supports Black teacher recruitment initiatives, and works to strengthen relationships between families, schools, and community partners. The organization hosts cultural and community events including Black Graduation ceremonies, Kwanzaa celebrations, Juneteenth events, Black History Month programs, and back-to-school activities.
