Description

Provides volunteer opportunities to individuals interested in delivering hot meals to home-bound seniors 60+. Meals are delivered around the noon hour by volunteers, 5 days a week. Provide companionship for friendly visitors program, provide administrative event or project support.

Hours

Monday-Friday, 9am - 4pm

Required Documents

Valid Driver's License.

Eligibility

Adult 21+ with a reliable vehicle and clean driving record for Meals on Wheels. Age 18+ for other volunteer positions.

Intake Procedure

Call backdoor number to apply. Background check, DMV check (must have clean DMV record for 3 yrs) and orientation with ride along are required for MOW program.

Description

Delivers meals to seniors doorsteps, who are homebound, unable to obtain food themselves, and do not have a caregiver that prepares their meals. Drivers also provide a safety check, and at times holiday and weekend meals are also available. Volunteer drivers can deliver meal to the door or into the kitchen.

Homebound, ages 60+, who does not have someone to get food or cook food.

Donations are accepted however, no one will be turned away if unable to pay.
