Description:
Provides a secure municipal photo identification card to all eligible Richmond residents in need of an official government identification, personalized with the cardholder's photo, name, date of birth, physical characteristics and local Richmond address. Transgender applicants can opt to have a Chosen First Name(s) and Legal Last Name printed on the front of the ID. All cardholders can opt to indicate on the ID their statuses as a volunteer organ donor ( Donate Life CA ), US Veteran, an Emergency Contact phone number and Medical Alert(s). The Richmond City ID Card is recognized by all city departments including the Richmond Police Department as a valid form of ID. It is also accepted by the CA Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to verify an applicant's identity to begin an application for a driver license issued under Assembly Bill 60 (AB60). Vital statistic offices in many states accept municipal ID to get copies of US birth certificates. Richmond City ID is accepted as well by local health care facilities, shelter and housing organizations, food banks/pantries, Amtrak & Greyhound Bus to purchase tickets and boarding, Peralta Community College District enrollment, secondary ID at participating credit unions or banks, Obamacare Health Insurance (US citizens/legal residents only) and other insurance coverage.

One (1) Proof of Residency in City of Richmond; One (1) Primary Proof of Identity w/ Photograph; OR lacking photo ID, a notarized City of Richmond "Affidavit of Identifying Witness" form; One (1) Secondary Proof of ID.
