Description:
Provides youth and their families, located within Contra Costa County, with immediate and same day crisis-intervention when youth are experiencing a mental health crisis. Mental health crisis may include, but are not limited to suicidal ideation, thoughts of self-harm, psychosis, aggression, anxiety, and depression. Interventions may include assessment of safety and needs, risk assessment, conflict resolution, safety planning, and support to caregivers. Follow up support includes linking youth and families to community resources and longer-term mental health services. Police Intervention may be needed if there is an imminent risk of harm to self or others or if a weapon is involved. A caregiver must be included in the assessment process.

Monday-Friday 7am - 11pm, Saturday & Sunday 11am - 9pm; 24 hour phone support.

Eligibility
Families with children ages 0-18 or with young adults up to age 22.
Fees
None, serves families without health insurance or with Medi-Cal only. Private insured youth may receive assessment, triage and referrals in a crisis however, will be referred back to their private insurance for follow-up services.
Intake Procedure
Families may self-refer or community providers may make referrals by calling the support line.
