Acts as the primary hazardous response agency for Contra Costa County. Protects public health and the environment from chemical spills and hazardous releases. Provides a 24-hour hazardous materials technical assistance to all response agencies. Activates the Community Warning System and the Community Alert Network. Performs oversight of hazardous materials clean-up activities.
