State Child Tax Credit Information

A number of states offer a State Child Tax Credit (which can be claimed in addition to the federal credit) that together are intended to provide financial relief for low-income parents and their children. Eligibility requirements for state child tax credits differ. Some states limits the child tax credit to families earning less than a specified dollar amount per year. Others have age restrictions for qualifying children and one state limits eligibility to children with disabilities.
